WHO IS MR. KNIGHT?

Where did I grow up? Grayville, Illinois - "The classroom, that I teach in now, was the library when I was a student here at Wells Elementary. My fifth grade teacher's name was Mrs. Knight! (no relation)"

What were my favorite subjects in school? Social Studies & Math - "I still love learning about history & crunching numbers."

Where did I go to college? SIC (Harrisburg) & USI (Evansville) - "I was a non-traditional student. I worked in a factory for 7 years after high school. Quit my job to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. It was scary, but it turned out to be the best decision I have ever made! I love my job! Remember, it's never too late to chase your dream!"

Where do I live now? Carmi, Illinois - "Grayville will always be my home, but for now I live in Carmi with my wife, Jennifer, my son, Cannon, and our dog, Ruby."

Why did I become a teacher? I love working with kids! - "I know that sounds like a generic answer, but it is true. I hope that someday all of my students will consider me to have been an influence on their lives. It's exciting to think, that each year I'm helping educate future teachers, doctors, lawyers, or even the future President of the United States. (You've got to dream big!) Regardless of their future endeavors, right now they are all full of great potential! Having the opportunity to help them realize this, is a wonderful honor, which I am very pleased to have!"
